Arnold Palmer Invitational - Yea Tiger

Holidays are exhausting!!

Quite the building??

Water moccasin or cottonmouth snake. Very poisonous!

Airboat ride at Boggy Creek.

All uniformed up and ready for work at the golf tournament.

Aaron Baddeley on Pro Am day.

Komodo Dragon. Saliva bite is deadly!

WOW! What a golf tournament/championship. Tiger does it again. Just amazing to be there to see him pull it off. Highlight of the trip for sure. I couldn't get any pictures because they don't allow cameras, especially if you are volunteer staff. That part is over and we still have a few days to go back and enjoy more of Disneyworld. We went to Epcot again yesterday and did a few rides. Today is Disney Hollywood.

Well, I've been through two days of shot link volunteering. Fun, but hot and somewhat tiring. I worked 17 tower on Thursday and 13 fairway on Friday. The next two days I'm back to 17 tower. I missed the hole-in-one on 17 today by Webb Simpson. Awwwww! I can hear you now.

No pictures today. Cameras not allowed at the match. Sue has been shopping and poking around town.

Returning Thursday April 2 at 7PM.

St. Augustine

St. Augustine is a very interesting destination. We wish we had more time here. A beautiful sunny day and we thought it would be cool so we left our shorts at the hotel. Maybe a good thing because it got hot and we got our arms and necks burned. The Fort built in the 1600s was well preserved. The lighthouse had 219 steps to get to the top. The wooden building is the oldest schoolhouse in USA.

World Golf Hall of Fame

This is the place that Gary Player says you must visit if you come to Florida. Well, it was OK, but I wouldn't recommend coming to Florida just to see it. The Bob Hope room was the most substantial and it was very entertaining. Boy when Tiger turns 40 he will be eligible for induction and then look out. They will have to create a new building for him. They are probably working on it already. A bit of shopping at the outlet mall nearby finished off our day.

Still Day 6 in Florida

We left the Orlando area and headed to the coast, Cocoa Beach, then North past Cape Canaveral, Daytona Beach and on to St. Augustine. We just checked in and we are going to find a place for dinner.

An interesting thing happened at lunch. We were looking for a reasonable place and spotted a sign that said "Buy one and get one free". Well, you know we like deals so we pulled in. It turned out it was for TATTOOS!!. hahah So, we thought we may as well live a little and both got a nice one on the right shoulder. We'll send you a picture soon. Mom's didn't work out that good because she was so scared she moved and the the whole thing got messed up. We just hope that these things last until we get the picture otherwise after we shower we'll have to start all over again.

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney last night and I gave my name as Liam and the guy typed in Leo, so for the evening I was know by my lion nickname, Leo. hahaha

Day 6 in Florida

Animal World was OK but we liked Epcot better. The animals and grounds are well looked after and the truck tour Kilamanjarro was cool. Got close to Giraffes, Elephants, etc. and the one exciting moment when two Rhinos got agitated and I thought they were going to take out the bus. They are HOOGE! We've been able to manage with walking. Walking on pavement for 12 hours was pretty tough yesterday at Epcot. Ouch, ouch... One funny thing on Wednesday, as we were returning from Outback Steakhouse the Garmin told us to turn right at International Doctor West, hahaha. It was interpreting International Dr. W. hahaha It took us a few secs to figure that one out. It is a great tool if you don't know the area. Funny though. Liam

Well everyone finally an opportunity to say hi We are having a great time!!! The weather is so warm , no rain and plenty to do. We are heading to St Augustine tomorrow so hopefully tha hotel there will have an internet more accessable. We ate at the Out Back Steak house a couple nights ago and the food was incredible-nice company too. Walking walking walking walking--that is Epcot You look out at this huge curcuit of buildings around a lake the size of Elk Lake and realize that for the next 12 hours you will be on your feet having the time of your life. We made it with a couple of stops for lunch and stopped in China for dinner before finding our spot on the hot pavement-good thing because the air was quite cool by then and we were dressed for hot- to watch the fireworks-spectacular effects. Then home, collapse in bed and up the next day for another 13 mile hike. Anyways we are off to Downtown Disney tonight for dinner and some evening fun Dad went to Bay Hill today to train and says it looks great. He'll be on the 17th green in the Shot Link Tower if you are watching By for now Love mom and Dad Susan and Liam. Mr and Mrs Uganecz a c

First day in Florida

We've arrived in Kissimmee (sp?) and find the resort very comfortable. The weather is fantastic too. I like this warm stuff. No need for jackets here. Spent the firt day looking for some good shoes for Susan. Took some doing but we found them at Off Broadway Warehouse Shoes. DSW did not have what she needed. Go figure. Liam found some extra wide golf shoes which are rarely available in Canada. Funny story... Susan went to the ladies washroom in the Millenial Mall (Very classy mall) and tried to use those paper seat covers, so she placed it on the seat carefully and then prepared to sit but the toilet flushed and sucked the paper seat down with a whoosh. So, she tried again, this time trying to sit with a little more urgency and whoosh, same thing. So there she is in the cubicle laughing and laughing. Third time she was lightening fast and finally got there first. What a hoot. Oh, oh I'm almost out of time on this unit so I will sign off now...more later.
